Located in Imperial Valley, California, the Citizens Imperial Solar project provides 30 megawatts of affordable green energy to the region's low-income ratepayers. Citizens Energy partners with the local utility to reduce the electric bills of families in need.

Serving low-income families across the Imperial Valley of California, the Citizens Energy Solar Homes Program provided 20-year prepaid leases on rooftop solar panels to offset the heavy burden of air-conditioning costs due to the region's hot summers.

Building on our mission to make life's basic needs more affordable, the Shelter Heat Assistance Program addresses the energy needs of organizations who work with families in crisis. By significantly offsetting the energy costs for shelters, the program diverts limited funding back to crucial services.
