This is the Federally-funded LIHEAP program for low-income households needing fuel assistance

Chesapeake Utilities Sharing Program
This program helps Chesapeake Utilities gas customers who may need assistance with their gas heating bills. This program may provide a grant towards the gas-heating bills of elderly, disabled, or fixed-income customers. To apply for this Chesapeake-sponsored program, contact the following offices:

Energy Efficiency
Delaware Weatherization Assistance Program
This Federally-funded program provides weatherization assistance for low-income households.

Contact Information: The Division of State Services (DSSC) administers the program under contracts with Neighborhood House, Inc., which operates weatherization projects in New Castle County, and First State Community Action Agency, which operate projects in Kent and Sussex Counties. Each agency subcontracts with private construction and heating contractors to install such measures as air sealing, insulation, window and door replacement, and furnace repair and replacement: Kent County: (302) 674-1782; New Castle County: (302) 654-9295; Sussex County: (302) 856-6310.
