Millions of families across America struggle to keep pace with rising costs of energy along with other basic necessities like food and health care. When temperatures drop, already tight budgets are stretched even thinner. Low-income families that qualify for federal fuel assistance spend nearly 20% of their incomes on energy.

Beginning in Massachusetts almost 30 years ago, Citizens Energy has worked with local oil dealers and non-profit agencies to bring a bit of relief to the most vulnerable citizens in our society. Last year, working together with local partners in 16 states, we were able to help over 400,000 people stay out of the cold.
